Reducing our environmental footprint

We're focussed on finding new ways to make The Base more sustainable. In late 2022 we began working with Waste Management and MyNoke on an innovative programme to reduce the amount of food waste being sent to landfill. Waste is now processed at a regional Wormfarm site where millions of hungry worms reduce the rubbish volume by about 80% to create a valuable natural resource and significantly reduce our environmental footprint.
