RIVER BENDS/CURRENTS: CEILING FEATURES

The cedar baton ceiling features outside Farmers’ Te Awa entrance and above the foodcourt take the river currents off the floor and mirror them above, illustrating the flow and ripples of Waikato Te Awa.  Strong horizontal lines speak of the strength, movement and direction of the river while the sculptural undulation of the fixture reflects the ripples and eddies.

Notice too, the cedar ‘bridges’ overhead near the foodcourt and close to Hoyts.
