SHOPPING AT WESTGATE LIFESTYLE UNDER THE RED LIGHT SYSTEM
In line with the New Zealand Government’s requirements, Westgate Lifestyle will operate under red light at 9am on Friday 3 December 2021.
Normal trading hours at Westgate Lifestyle will continue.
- Monday – Saturday: 9am – 5:30pm
- Sunday: 10am – 5:30pm
- Public Holidays: 10am – 5:30pm
My Vaccine Pass is the official record of a person’s COVID-19 vaccination status for use in New Zealand.
In line with Government guidelines, a Vaccine Pass is not required in order for you to access essential services such as supermarkets, pharmacies or health care. As these services may be located within our centres, entry to the centre is not currently restricted based on customers’ vaccination status. Please note this approach may be revised in the future, based on government guidance or requirements.
However, individual businesses that are required to, will scan the QR code on the My Vaccine Pass with the NZ Pass Verifier app. This app will confirm your vaccination status to the business. Businesses may also ask you to show ID to match it with the pass. Please note, only customers over the age of 12 are required to have a valid My Vaccine Pass.
Businesses cannot accept a purple vaccination card or vaccination confirmation letter as proof of a customer’s vaccination status.
Everyone! In the red setting, we expect general retail, restaurants and cafes, cinemas and entertainment, close proximity business to be operating at LynnMall.
The way that each retailer will operate will depend on what kind of business they are!
Retail is not required to use My Vaccine Passes, but if a business at LynnMall opts to require these, then they will sight and/or verify customers’ using the My Vaccine Passes.
In the Red setting, restaurants and cafes can have up to 100 customers with 1 metre physical distancing as long as Vaccine Passes are used.
If Vaccine Passes are not used then they can offer contactless pick up or delivery only.

FACE COVERINGS & QR CODES:
The centre has a NZ COVID Tracer QR Code at all entrances as well as at centre bathrooms and amenities. When entering the centre and specific stores, please ensure you are using the QR code and are wearing a face covering.
MANAGEMENT OF CUSTOMER NUMBERS:
While we are operating under Red Light, the number of people in the Centre at any one time must be monitored and limited in accordance with the requirements of the New Zealand Government.
Each individual retailer at Westgate Lifestyle will monitor the amount of people in their store. If a store is nearing capacity then you may need to queue outside the store, following the social distancing guidelines.
At Westgate Lifestyle keeping our shoppers, community and staff safe is our priority.

Stores may need to manage the numbers of customers entering the store to meet their health and safety requirements.
If you are required to queue outside a store we ask that you queue parallel to the store front and keep common mall space as clear as possible. Please follow the direction of the store team.
We’re following the government social distancing guidelines and you’ll see signage throughout the centre to remind shoppers to keep 2 metres from other customers.
