KIT FOR KIDS | THE BASE

When you need to go and kit out the kids with new boots, gear and uniform for the new sports season, it's easy to see that participation in youth sport can be an expensive business.  Kids especially, are always growing out of their gear, progressing in their chosen sport or finding new passions, resulting in a scramble at the beginning of the season and often some gently-used but superseded gear taking up room at home.

For some kids, the family budget is just too tight to stretch to even the basics needed to participate in kids' sport.  They may be playing with gear that is broken/worn, ill-fitting, borrowed or not be able to play at all.  So this Match Hero season, we'd like to help you clear out the cupboards of the gear your kids aren't using anymore so that we can pass it onto kids that need it.

Our Match Hero gear bin is near our Customer Service Desk - it's bright orange so you can't miss it!  So make a bit of room at your place and drop your gear off at ours.  We're looking for:

• Sports gear that still has some good life left in it - gently used (or unused - it happens!), clean items that have simply been outgrown or left behind as the kids have found new passions
• Any sport/season is fine, we can also accept sports clothing and shoes in good condition.  Please tie shoes together by the laces to keep them together
• We can also re-distribute adult-sized gear if you have it

We cannot use:

• Mouth guards
• Gear, clothing or shoes that are excessively dirty, worn out or have rips, stains or holes
• Incomplete or broken equipment
