We are super excited to be able to reveal the names of the final three restaurants opening this December at our new dining precinct, The Grove!
Introducing Cleaver & Co, The Little District and Birdie’s Bar and Deli. These fabulous foodies will join Mexico, Better Burger, Hawker & Roll, Casablanca, Wagamama, Garrison Public House and The Coffee Club at Sylvia Park on December 14, this year. What a line-up! Like a bit ‘o Southern flavour? Cleaver & Co offers southern style BBQ food, with classic kiwi hospitality delivered under the customer promise of “Eat Better Meat, Drink Better Liquor”. We’re particularly looking forward to sinking our teeth in to their 14-hour smoked ribs and succulent smoky beef brisket. Yum! We’re informed that there might also be their delicious fried mac and cheese balls and cheesy, stuffed jalapeno poppers!
The Little District is a quirky, fun and eclectic all-day micro-precinct and market place where you can take your pick from three specialty food outlets, featuring an all-day café, a wood-fired pizza kitchen and espresso martini on tap. That’s right – martinis on tap! Call the girls for a night out, because this is the place. There is also a bespoke craft beer dispensary, which will perfectly complement good company on a balmy Auckland evening.
And, finally yet importantly, we welcome Birdie’s Bar and Deli! The huge New York-style rotisserie and market deli will be a group favourite with large communal tables, but a little birdie told us that there will also be intimate booths for a few cheeky dates with your special someone. Once a month Birdie’s also has a Supper Club event, for aficionados of cocktails and dancing!
The Grove will provide a contemporary alfresco dining experience including a new town square, a little love on the landscape front with a fresh and funky new look, plus a signature dining pavilion. So flash!
Cleaver & Co, The Little District and Hawker & Roll will be located on the ground floor of our new office tower, which is currently being built in the existing dining area. Hawker & Roll is the latest offering from co-owners Fleur Caulton and Chef Josh Emett, heroing the NZ-famous hawker roll from their much-loved restaurant Madam Woo. This street/market-style food packed with traditional Malay flavour will surely be a must-have for busy lunch-goers and those catching a flick at HOYTS.
So, pop December 14 in your calendar and get ready for a summer of exceptional dining, entertaining, and relaxing. We can’t wait to share The Grove, our amazing new dining precinct, with you!
