In accordance with the New Zealand Government’s advice, Northlands will move to the Orange setting of the COVID-19 Protection Framework at 11.59pm Wednesday 13 April 2022.

All stores are open, however you may see some changes in the way some of our stores and activations operate, to meet the guidelines set out within the framework of the Orange setting and meet all necessary health and safety guidelines.

HOW THE CENTRE WILL OPERATE

Centre Trading Hours

Normal Centre trading hours will continue

Saturday – Wednesday: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Thursday – Friday: 9:00 am – 9:00 pm
Please note that hours of individual retailers may vary, so if you are visiting for a specific retailer, find their contact details here and give them a call before you come.

 

 

WHAT’S OPEN?
Everyone! Under the Covid-19 Protection Framework, we expect general retail, restaurants and cafes, cinemas and entertainment, close proximity business to be operating at Northlands.

The way that each retailer will operate will depend on what kind of business they are!

 

General Retail

Retail is not required to use My Vaccine Passes, but if a business at Northlands opts to require these, then they will sight and/or verify customers’ using the My Vaccine Passes.

 

Restaurants and Cafes

In the Orange setting, hospitality venues have no limits on the number of people who can be at the venue.

 

Food court

In the Orange setting our food court retailers will be operating. Seating will be provided within the food court area. Cleaning staff will not clear a table until the table has been vacated.

 

Cinemas and Entertainment

In the Orange setting, there are no limits on the number of people per defined space.

 

Close Proximity Businesses

Close proximity businesses include but are not limited to: barbers, hairdressers, beauty salons, massage therapists, beauticians, and nail salons.

In the Orange setting, there is no limit to how many people can be present at a close proximity business as long as public health requirements are in place.

 

Play Spaces and Rest Areas

In the Orange setting, our play spaces, kiddy rides and some rest areas are open.

Masks 

Under Orange setting you are required to wear masks unless you have an exemption from the Ministry of Health

 

Customer Wellbeing

At Northlands, keeping our shoppers, community and staff safe is our priority.

You’ll find some of the things we’re doing to ensure the continued health and wellbeing of all those who shop, work and play at the centre HERE.
If you are feeling unwell or have any COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms we ask you to please stay home.
We will continue to follow Ministry of Health guidelines and we encourage workers and shoppers at Northlands to contact the Ministry of Health’s Healthline 0800 358 5453 for COVID-19 advice and information.

 

Cleaning

Cleaners will be on site at the Centre for cleaning of all common areas and will be undertaking a rigorous hospital-grade cleaning, hygiene and sanitisation regime, with particular focus on high-touchpoint surfaces such as bathrooms.

 

Queuing

Our stores will need to manage the number of customers within their premises in order to operate under the New Zealand Government requirements. Our retailers have created a plan for marking and managing any queues and we will be working alongside them to ensure your safety.

 

Social Distancing

Please ensure you adhere to the Ministry of Health advice on social distancing when visiting Northlands.

 

Customer Service Desk

Safety precautions will be in place at our customer service desks and staff numbers may be limited to help maintain social distancing.

Mobility equipment is available for hire and will be wiped down between uses.

Gift cards will be available for purchase online or at the customer service desk
