This mural reflects the playful, inquisitive nature of the tui. nestled amongst the kowhai. elongated and cropped in composition to show case its varied and eloquent dress. the size of this piece allows the work to act as more of a textured backdrop rather than a piece with a centred narrative.

The Artist:
Nick Lowry is a set designer and art director whose work is reflected in his murals, he enables the viewer to become immersed in a world of colour and free flowing form. Nature is always an influence, but is translated obscurely as he twists and bends its form and places it in a different light.
