The Batman is back! – A new take on a character everyone knows and loves.

ROBERT PATTINSON as Bruce Wayne in Warner Bros. Pictures’ action adventure “THE BATMAN,” a Warner Bros. Pictures release.

A more grounded telling of a new Batman story which plays out as a more thriller noir, detective movie than some previous adaptations, but with the same amazing car chases, bike chases, fight scenes and shootouts you are used to seeing from the caped crusader.

A star-studded cast led by Robert Pattinson as Batman. He manages to play the reclusive Bruce Wayne well but really shines as an intimidating Batman, prowling the shadows to keep the people of Gotham safe. Andy Serkis playing Alfred is a different take than what we are used to but the new approach is refreshing and plays more of a father figure.

ZOË KRAVITZ as Selina Kyle in Warner Bros. Pictures’ action adventure “THE BATMAN,” a Warner Bros. Pictures release.

The world of Gotham is quickly built up and you fall right into place in the tale. This shows off Batman’s detective skills, while investigating crime scenes as the world’s greatest detective, he is able to trade quick one-liners with Jim Gordon, and the chemistry of Pattinson and Jeffery Wright is really obvious.

(L-r) JEFFREY WRIGHT as Lt. James Gordon and ROBERT PATTINSON as Batman in Warner Bros. Pictures’ action adventure “THE BATMAN,” a Warner Bros. Pictures release.

Some of Gotham’s most powerful people are being murdered by an unknown lunatic and it is up to The Batman to uncover the identity of the mad man and bring him to justice to make the people of Gotham safe. He quickly unravels a deeper mystery into the dark side of Gotham, which gets deeper the more he explores and he is never sure exactly who he can trust.

ROBERT PATTINSON as Bruce Wayne in Warner Bros. Pictures’ action adventure “THE BATMAN,” a Warner Bros. Pictures release.

It is a bit of a darker side of Batman than we are used to seeing, but the more realistic telling means that we get some really striking visuals, where bright police sirens, flares and lighting are contrasted with Gotham’s dark and dingy side.

If you are looking for an exciting action movie with mystery and intrigue elements in a twisting story then you will love The Batman.
