The Big Hoot

From early March Auckland’s streets, parks and open spaces will play host to over 100 individually designed and beautifully created owls – designed by NZ Artists.  This project is presented by Child Cancer Foundation in partnership with the International creator of the event, Wild in Art, and will ultimately raise significant funds for the vital work Child Cancer Foundation does to support children with cancer and their families when they need it most.

LynnMall is so excited to be apart of this wonderful campaign and will be displaying one of the owls, designed by a local artist, Rogan James from Addi.B Creative outside Cotton On and Number One Shoes until early May.

Find them all using the trail map within the Big Hoot 2018 app – available to download from the App Store or Google Play from 01 March, and collect rewards as you go. Hard copy trail maps will also be available from select locations – visit www.thebighoot.co.nz for more information.

WIN $2,000 for a local school

In conjunction with The Big Hoot art trail that is running through the Auckland area, we will be running a local/community campaign.  LynnMall has sponsored four local schools, by giving each school an Owlet (smaller Owl) to design and these beautiful owls will be on display in LynnMall outside Foot Locker.

Customers coming into the centre who spend $20 or more can take their receipt to the Customer Service Desk to receive a token to vote for their favourite local school.  The school with the most votes at the end of the campaign will be donated $2,000 from LynnMall.

The four schools involved are:

  • Arahoe School
  • Avondale Primary School
  • Blockhouse Bay Primary School
  • New Lynn School

The owlette's are set up outside Footlocker

Walk around the four owlette’s and decide which one you like the most. Then head down to the LynnMall customer service desk with your receipt ($20 or more) to pick up your token. The school with the most votes wins $2,000. Get voting today.
