Kiwi Property named Australasia's top real estate company in global governance awards

Kiwi Property tops leader board for corporate governance index

Kiwi Property has been named Australasia’s top real estate company for Corporate Governance in Ethical Boardroom Magazine’s 2018 global Corporate Governance Awards.

Now in its fifth year, the Ethical Boardroom’s Corporate Governance Awards recognises and rewards outstanding companies who have exhibited exceptional leadership in governance.  The awards highlight the important role that corporate governance plays in dictating a company’s success and a board’s contribution to the creation of long-term value.

Kiwi Property Chief Executive Officer, Clive Mackenzie, said: “We are proud to have recognised our commitment to best practice corporate governance and look forward to continuing to deliver outstanding outcomes for our investors and stakeholders.“

The award follows Kiwi Property being named the leading New Zealand company in corporate governance in 2017 by AUT’s Auckland Centre for Financial Research, recognising the company’s commitment to best practice corporate governance. Kiwi Property topped the leader board in the Centre’s corporate governance index with a score of 26 out of 28.

“In December 2018, we will celebrate our 25th year as a listed entity. From our very beginning, Kiwi Property set out to have high levels of corporate governance, backed by a robust balance sheet and conservative levels of gearing,” said Mr Mackenzie.
