Who doesn’t love a remake of an old favourite?

Tom & Jerry (2021) directed by Tom Story, has once again graced the screen with their rambunctious, legendary rivalry, and just like the original series, this film brings comedy and action for the whole family to enjoy.

A nostalgic moment brought to life with the amalgamation of real life and animation, the Tom & Jerry (2021) film starts off with immediately igniting the rivalry between both Tom & Jerry. During Tom & Jerry’s signature game of ‘cat & mouse’, Tom loses Jerry after crashing into the deuteragonist of the film Kayla (Chloe Grace Moretz), a young beautiful ‘trying to make something of herself’ 19 year old who is desperate to find a job in the ‘Big Apple’, New York City.

Kayla dusts herself off and stumbles into a massive job opportunity at the Royal Gate Hotel where she is tasked with helping pull off the biggest even of the year. Eager to do a great job, Kayla encounters trouble when she finds a mouse has taken up residency within the hotel, none other than Jerry. Kayla calls on Tom to help with the hotel’s ‘rodent’ problem not realising the amount of distruction she has just invited into the hotel.

Without going on any further and spoiling the entire movie, Tom & Jerry (2021) is a must see. The film is fun, entertaining and enjoyable – a great remake of the all time favourite 1940 series by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera.
