It’s possible you may think it is too early to discuss Christmas shopping. But, I can already tell you Santa is bringing me a pretty bottle of pink gin this Christmas.

And, my sons will be buying me book vouchers… if they adhere to the not-so-subtle hints I have already started dropping. As for my husband, I will be directing him to this blog as there’s plenty in the Westgate Lifestyle Shopping Centre stores that I covet.

A lounge scene to inspire Christmas gifts this year

As well as giving him a heap of time to action some shopping, I think I am giving him a pleasing array of things to chose from ranging from a pretty nightdress to a boxing bag (yes, I attend a boxing class – you won’t get me in the ring, though!)

He knows me well enough by now to know that I love candles, diffusers and fairy lights, so I haven’t included these (available at various Westgate stores) this time. If he stops to think, he will realise that he’ll benefit from the aluminium framed cooler bag and the sonos wireless playbar speaker (to add to the single sonos speaker we have to date).

Some of my selection of wares this time include new items in store. Do you ever check on the Westgate stores’ websites? It’s a worthy exercise. Some have “new” item tabs and that’s how I found that gorgeous bean bag at NOOD and the framed Matisse print available from Freedom (that blue nude print may be new in store, but I have loved it for a long time).

I’ve noticed that some of the websites already have up their “Christmas” tab and it’s my intention to tell you more about that – with some mighty fine examples – in my next blog.

In the interim, enjoy what’s catching my eye in store at the moment.

Happy shopping. I’m off to do some of my own – namely, end-of-year gifts for teachers!
