SHOPPING FOR OUR LITTLE ONES | WESTGATE LIFESTYLE

TV celebs having babies – yay for Hayley Holt and Renee Wright – have had me thinking little people lately. Add to that the fact I have just held my niece’s new-born, and yes, I am in baby zone.

How special it is to hold a wee person and how much fun it is to shop for them. You can go gaga over the clothing on offer (although I actually knitted a tiny number for my niece’s baby), and plenty of other things too. If you’re in a position of needing to buy a gift for a baby or toddler then have a scout around the Westgate Lifestyle shops, as I did, and there’s great bounty to behold! My finds range from deliciously soft number like the sheets, blankets and soft toys I found, to things to bedeck bedroom walls or light up the room (fairy lights would be another lovely décor inclusion). I also discovered book ends, crockery for little people, and floor puzzles (you can never go wrong with them). As for the basket (and of course there are many on offer) I just think it’s an attractive way to deal with toy – or nappy or other baby paraphernalia – storage.

Of course, there are many other ideas beyond what features in my product list. For example, check out Rugs and More too for an appealing array of rugs suitable for children’s rooms – I would find it hard to go past the road map one, which provides a bright splash plus potentially hours of fun with matchbox toys. If, like me, you’ve never moved on from a love of play doh then that’s available at Warehouse Stationery. And if you’re a parent with a youngster ready to move from cot to bed, then it would be hard to bypass Westgate Lifestyle with its plethora of bed stores.
