NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS

Eat better, lose weight, exercise more, embrace a sustainable lifestyle, increase episodes of charitable good, stress less, become more organised, improve work-life balance… there are so many things to be resolute about. What’s your New Year’s Resolution? Chances are you have one – at least one! We just don’t seem to be able to resist formulating plans at this time of the year, to improve ourselves or our lot in life.

Just as partying comes with New Year’s Eve, so do good intentions come with New Year’s Day. Westgate Lifestyle is here to help fulfill some of these. Many people I have spoken to recently have started the New Year by sorting and culling – basically getting rid of the old to make room for the new. Clothes and linen have been sent to op-shops, and if the latter applies to you, then Bed Bath & Beyond will be able to supply the new versions. If your work-life needs some focus, then check out the ergonomic key board and office chair. And, if you feel the need to work on your organisation skills, then a traditional diary may assist (there are well-being planners too).

Of course, it’s easier to achieve in life if you are well rested. Finally, many of us set lofty goals at this time of the year but don’t get despondent if they fail to come to fruition.
