FATHER'S DAY GIFT GUIDE | SYLVIA PARK

05 August 2022

Heads up! Father’s Day is around the corner (Sunday 4 September). While the old man might say he doesn’t want anything, it’s probably a safe bet that he still wants something – even if it’s just a hug.

But if you want to give him something more and are stuck on what to get, we’ve compiled a few gift ideas for you.

FOR THE STAY AT HOME DAD

If your Dad or Dad-like figure is a bit of a homebody, then gifts that he can use to wind down and relax are the way to go. Books, board games, health/beauty products, and video games (plus accessories that come with them) are all things that he can use to make staying at home a party.

FOR THE SPORTY DAD

You might be thinking that we’re scraping the bottom of the barrel when socks are on our gift guide, but you’d be wrong! Your dad (and his feet) will be thanking you when they’re up in the wop-wops on a 12 km trek!

For the sporty dad, you want to give gifts that are functional but also stylish. That’s why we’ve opted for socks, fleeces, jackets and of course power banks!

FOR THE TECH DAD

Does the man in your life love to keep up with the latest tech? If so, we’ve got some goodies that he’ll adore.

If he loves to play video games, go with a Nintendo Switch. Does he always get lost and refuse to pull over and ask for directions? Perhaps a Smart Dash Cam with a GPS will do the trick. Keeping in theme with car gadgets, a Fast Wireless Car Charger is sure to be handy on those long road trips. And finally, to really amp up his man cave, we recommend a smart home device like Amazon Echo Dot.

FOR THE DINE OUT DAD

The eyes are the windows to the soul, but the stomach is the gateway to the heart. If your dad or dad-like figure loves food as much as us, then a delicious night out will be sure to make you the favourite child.

And good news – Sylvia Park is home to over 50 eateries so you’re REALLY spoiled for choice. Below are some of our top eats at SP.

If he’s a fan of Japanese food and ramen, IPPUDO is your go-to. If he’s keen on Mediterranean, make your way to Casablanca. Got a big family? Papparich has plenty of seats (and yummy food to share!). Or maybe he loves the classic pizza and beer at the pub? We’ve got a couple, and we recommend Garrisons!

GIFT OF CHOICE

None of these gifts fit the bill? Maybe a Kiwi Property gift card will do the trick. Our gift cards unlock over 500 stores across 8 centres.
