COLOUR MY WORLD BRIGHT | WESTGATE LIFESTYLE

21 March 2022

If my most recent blog celebrating a natural colour palette seemed a little too “beige” for you, then rest assured this blog may just brighten your day. If you’re thinking it’s time to inject colour to your décor then you’ll be pleased to know you don’t have to go beyond Westgate Lifestyle. Simply check the window displays or venture beyond the store doors to see what I mean – colour is in force.

Brightening up the hues in your home doesn’t need to be a major exercise as one or two added pops of colour can be transformational (not everyone has the time, money or inclination for a full makeover). There are many small and creative ways in which colour can freshen up your space (so much so that it may feel like an entire redo). It may be that you opt to add some painted feature walls or apply a lick of new colour to a piece of furniture. It may be more instant and less permanent, thanks to the addition of cushions, throws, duvet covers, plants, a cheery rug, or a cheeky doorstop. A new lamp or shade has the power to add colour and personality to a room, as does a piece of art. And, of course, our stores offer a wide range of furniture options to tackle this task… the addition of a statement chair can make a significant difference. A vibrant number, such as those I found at ifurniture (there’s a variation in price as one is an Eames) is a guaranteed attention-grabber. Oh, and I’ve had to include coloured crockery as I’ve long been a fan of the wonderful array of tableware at Briscoes – those shopping isles never disappoint.

It may be that you add a single accent colour, or that you experiment with many different colour pops combined…either way, colour is about having fun.

Adding to the joy, I’m pleased to say that some of the products I have featured in this blog are on special. There are slashed prices to go with those colour splashes in many of our Westgate Lifestyle stores. This tells me now is a good time to shop! Go on… it will brighten up your day.
