And no surprises, there’s a site full of gift suggestions for the cat lover in your life, with ideas ranging from a cat-shaped egg mould (the yolks are the eyes and the whites create the rest of the face shape) to a hoodie with a cat holding pouch where you can stow your kitten for cuddles. I kid you not. (Actually, goat-specific gifts probably exist too but I’m not even going to google and go there!)

My point is, animal or critter-related product needs to exist in our world. There’s a plethora of pet lovers out there and plenty of product to please. In a previous article I featured a dachshund dog that stretches out to deal to any below-door drafts, and in yet-another I couldn’t resist introducing you to a feathery pink flamingo, and then Orangutan bookends (all from NOOD). I wasn’t even trying to feature critters, yet they just cropped up. So now here I am focusing entirely on animals and birds and sea life. With that theme in mind there’s no shortage of things to dress beds, walls and doorways. It may be that you are looking for a gift for a pet lover, or something cute for a child, or a gag gift for someone who is tricky to buy for…I’m tossing an assortment of things in the mix here from a whale-shaped ice-cube maker to a 101 Dalmatian duvet.
