ADVENTURE AND BIRTHDAY BUYING

Lifestyle

26 February 2019

I’m off on an adventure. Hubby and I have a significant wedding anniversary pending and decided that, to celebrate, we’d go do something we’ve talked about over the last few years.

Adventures with friends

And so, there’s a specific reason for the inclusion of the Torpedo7 bike and clothing in this column – we’re off to bike the Alps 2 Ocean trail which travels from Mt Cook (or Twizel as an alternative starting point) to Oamaru. We’ve gathered up some friends to join us and are anticipating six days of great fun and spectacular scenery. It’s so important, I think, to have excursions to look forward to and this ride will make March especially memorable.

March is also a great month for me, and always has been, as it’s my birthday month. And hence the other items featured here today – they’re all things I especially like. I’m most certainly not saying I expect any of those bigger priced items (especially as hubby bought me a bike for Christmas) but, you know, if you could have anything you wanted… the three-seater sofa in duck egg blue (I so love that colour) from Furniture Now and the black leather recliner with foot stool from La-Z-Boy would be first cabs off the rank on the furniture front.

The egg chair from NOOD looks dreamy, and I imagine the Spotlight bed linen with the super high thread count would ensure wonderful dreams (I’m appreciating, these days, that beautiful linen is a great gift – even just gorgeous pillowcases.) The Butler tray tables would look great as bed-side tables in the spare bedroom, I think, and so I have included them too. (Oh no, that’s right, I don’t have a spare bedroom yet, as so many of my children remain home dwellers!) The wine bags from EziBuy made me smile – especially the pink one with the “stop and smell the rosé” message. In fact, I’m going to go buy one of those as it would be a great girlfriend gift with a bottle of rosé inside. As for the washing basket, it reminded me off my mum’s old wicker one – it can be found at The Importer.

And, if my children are reading this… the dress from Ezibuy is a beaut, and you can never go wrong buying me a diffuser. As for the reading glasses, I think I’ll be buying those for myself for my birthday. Here’s hoping your March will be as good as mine.
