TOP SUMMER WORKWEAR PIECES

Fashion

12 February 2018

The working year has well and truly started for us all now, and combined with the high summer temperatures, it might be playing havoc on your work wardrobe!

Togs and denim shorts might be fine for the weekends, but they just aren’t going to cut it in the work place!

So to help you beat the heat, but also keep yourself looking cool, calm and collected at work, I’ve put together my top five fvourite summer work wear pieces.

The trick to beating the heat comes down to your fabric choices and the cuts of your clothes – you want to promote airflow as much as you can!

Look for fibres that breathe – linen, cotton and rayon are all good options.

When it comes to cuts, try things that don’t cling to the body as much, like shift dresses and skirts that are slightly a-line. This is also the time of year where culottes and wide leg pants will be your friend!

So, here are five of my workwear favourities you can get your hands on now to stay cool at work this summer, thanks to the wonderful stores in-centre!

  1. Jacqui E linen check shift dress $129.95 | 2. Max “Noni” linen capri pants $99.99 | 3. Country Road split sleeve top $159.00 | 4. Merchant 1948 (Overland) “Surrey” mid heel in baby pink $199.90 | 5. Portmans “Festival” paperbag a-line skirt $89.95

So there is a geat little combo of summer pieces that will it right into your workwear look, but also help you feel cool all day long!
